As we approach the end of Quarter One, we’re looking back on an exciting start to 2023!
Over the past four months, we have welcomed 24 new starters to our offices in Forum House, above Leadenhall Market. Our growing team continue to reach a wide range of industries, and since the start of this year, we’re working with 377 new clients across R&D clients and Capital Allowances. March was a record-breaking month, with a total of 150 new clients onboard!
We also celebrated many promotions at the start of the year, including Senior Commercial Executive MaryAnn Chapman, who has been promoted to Commercial Associate! Commercial Executives Ben Watkins and George Duffy have also been promoted to Senior Commercial Executive, and Associate Consultants Haris Malik and Nuno Navega celebrated their new roles as Technical – Consultants. Our team continue to work with many different industries, and are always striving to build new relationships, as well as mentoring and training new members of staff.
Our exciting new video series Prominent Women in Business launched in January 2023. As part of this series, we have had the privilege to interview inspirational women across a range of different industries – from construction to fashion – to hear about their professional journeys and how they achieved their current positions. Crucially, we ask these women their advice on how companies can continue to champion and support women in business. The series offers valuable insight into the challenges that women face in the business world and, additionally, is a must-watch for anyone interested in promoting gender diversity and equality in the workplace. As the year rolls on, we continue to diversify and grow our video content. In March, we caught up with Chief Financial Officer at Mintus, Vedat Mizrahi, Ph.D at their stunning offices in Soho to chat about all things from the fractionalisation of artwork to their experience of working with RCK. In March, we were also thrilled to announce that RCK has been shortlisted for Best Independent Tax Consultancy Firm at the prestigious Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2023! It’s an honour to be a finalist alongside many leading names in the Financial Services industry and is testament to the continued support of our clients and team. We are excited to attend the awards ceremony, which will be held on Thursday 18th May at the Royal Lancaster London.
Our team have also been enjoying sports highlights with our clients around the country, and recently attended the England vs. Wales Rugby match in Cardiff in February, and the England vs. France Cricket match in Twickenham. We even practised our own sporting skills, with several heated Darts matches taking place at Flight Club in Shoreditch!
Looking ahead, RCK are excited to sponsor several industry events, including the Women in Construction awards, which is taking place on 22nd September 2023. The awards will host an impressive line-up of past and future leaders and shine a light on women’s contribution to the industry, how they have helped to attract others to the industry and achievements within their sector. As we approach the summer, our team are busy planning RCK’s very own Women in Business event, where we will be joined by guests from many industries to share stories of success, encouragement and change for women across the UK.
